It is not unusual to see the ruins of buildings and all that has been left over after years of decay are the bricks used to keep everything together.

Bricklaying is thus an investment. If it is done properly you will never have to worry about spending a fortune on maintaining your walls, chimneys or structures. Even though bricklaying is a task many DIY’ers take upon themselves it can be costly if not done properly. There are building regulations to keep in mind, miticulous measurements and tools that harder to use than they are to pronounce.

Roof repairs can be a simple task if the problem is spotted and addressed early on – if not the damage can spread and amount to huge costs and expenses.

Roof problems come in various shapes and sizes – some are easy to identify, some not. Torn shingles, broken or cracked tiles or even bent and broken flashings can result in water damage from leakage (believe us, that is a problem nobody wants to deal with).

Fixing roofs is a tricky business that more often than not requires some serious skill that goes beyond the talents of everyday DIY’ers. Make sure the roof over your head is a safe one!
